Fabienne and Eric Klausener have been running the 3 hectare vineyard in Ticino since 1982. In Purasca, the former weaver sought a new challenge and found it in viticulture. Half of the 3 hectares are allocated to the Malcantone and Luganese areas. The average annual production is 10'000 bottles. The wines of the Klausener family are among the strongest ones produced in Ticino. Above all, the Gran Risavier. The production is only 2,000 bottles per year. The wine is produced only in large vintages. 100% Merlot and from more than 50 years old vines, this wine belongs to the absolute top Merlots and one of the longest lasting Ticino wines.
The philosophy of the Klausener family is clear: terroir, limited yields and the highest quality.
