History

The winery Cascina Luisin was founded in 1913 and since then always family owned. The winery is located in the municipality of Barbaresco. With a size of 8 hectares and an annual production of 30,000 bottles, Cascina Luisin is one of the smaller wineries in Piedmont. The focus is on the 4 indigenous grape varieties Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. Cascina's philosophy is to promote and strengthen indigenous grape varieties and respect traditions. Thus, the wines are still pressed at Cascina Luisin as once, aged in large oak barrels and not in barriques.
