History

At home in Castiglione Falletto, the winery Brovia was founded in 1863 by Giacinto Brovia. Since the 80s, the winery is run by the grandchildren Giacintos. Elena and Cristina's philosophy is to produce wines of great character. Every wine and every situation should reflect the characteristics clearly and naturally. In order to reach these goals, one has started early to acquire great vineyards in the Barolo area. Sounding names like Rocche, Villero and in Serralunga d'Alba Brea and Karn. A big wine depends on the quality of the grape. It takes care, time and experience in the vineyard and in the basement. Elena and Cristina manage to perfectly combine tradition with modern cellar techniques and to vinify wines that express character, finesse and power. All sober facts, but in total responsible for these grandiose wines.

Terroir

The Villero grows in the historically significant location in Castiglione Falletto on limestone soils, sand and clay. Villero was the first ever labeled and named single location in the entire Langhe (Vietti).
