Aromas of Amarena cherries, violets, cherries and coconut. On the palate sweet fruit, present but velvety tannin. The wine is already a plasure while still young, but has the structure and concentration to mature excellently.
The wine matures is 100% news barriques. The fermantation takes place according to traditionell as well as most modern techniques, in open wood fermentation tanks
Slightly more than 1,000 boxes are produced of Rol Valentin, a property that was revived by former professional footballer Eric Prisette in 1994 and finally sold in 2009 to Alexandra and Nicolas Robin, owners of Château Laussac. Just under 5 hectares are on Rol Valentin under vine, 85% of which are Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. The age of the vines is between 35 and 40 years. The quality did not change after the sale. With the help of the talented oenologist Stephane Derenoncourt wines are produced at an incredibly high level. The style of the Rol Valentin is very Burgundian, fine wines that show a lot of character and finesse, less power than the wines of some neighbors.
