Elegance and consistency characterise this rosé champagne, because in the glass the garment shimmers in a dark pink with delicate pearl columns that rise slowly in the glass. The bouquet already shows a clear structure of red fruits, spices and a bit of brioche. In the mouth there is a lot of pressure, a clear and compact concentration of slightly salty aromas that linger over the finish. Freshness that falls in love and always seduces!

Vinification / aging

The Non Vintage Champagne 'Rosé de Saignée' from Barbichon & Fils is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The must was macerated for up to 48 hours and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The rosé matured on the yeast for 36 months before being degorged. The dosage is 6 grams.

History

The producer Barbichon & Fils is a relatively young winery. In the 1980s, father Robert started working together with his wife Maryvonne Prélat. Today, his sons Thomas and Maxime lead the Maison. Much has changed under the new management, as the two brothers have completely turned the business into a organic production. On the 9 hectare plots, which are located in the municipalities of Gyé-sur-Seine, Celles-sur-Ource, Courteron and Neuville-sur-Seine, 74% Pinot Noir, 12% Chardonnay and 6% Pinot Blanc grow. Some vines are of a special age - they were planted in 1953 and 1961. Also 8% Pinot Meunier is planted. On average the entire vines are 30 years old.
