Producers: Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey

Pierre-Yves Colin is the eldest son of Marc Colin (Domaine Marc Colin is now managed by his brothers Damien and Joseph Colin). From 1994 Pierre-Yves is responsible for the vinification on the parental farm. In 2001 he started his own Négociant business with his wife Caroline Morey (the daughter of Jean-Marc Morey). After the 2005 vintage, Pierre-Yves Colin leaves the family winery with six hectares of best vineyards in St. Aubin and Chassagne-Montrachet, which he received as a heritage. These form the basis of Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey. In addition, he buys from friendly winemakers small quantities of raw wine from various top locations, eg from Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Corton Charlemagne and many more. Each year, the winery produces about 70,000 bottles (2/3 domain wines, 1/3 of purchased grapes / raw wine). The team at the winery consists of a total of 6 people. No consulting oenologist. Few laboratory analyzes; no bâtonnage (stir the yeast mixture during fermentation); Aging and fermentation in 228l burgundy pièces, but also in 350l oak barrels; Traditional, natural working methods and consistent quality thinking are just a few of the recipes for the success of the winery.
